Focusing Attitude and Felt Sense Check-In

This is an audio clip that includes the Focusing Attitude of being "friendly" toward your inner felt experience, noticing the felt sense, and seeing if there is a "symbol"—as a word, phrase, image, gesture or sound that matches the felt sense. The instructions also include checking to see if the symbol feels right. If you have any difficulty finding a symbol, that's ok. Just notice the felt sense and be accepting of whatever your inner experience is.

After Focusing, the instructions offer the opportunity to express the felt sense symbol through art, writing, gesture, movement or sound. This exercise can be combined with the download for the Solo FOAT® Journal (in the next lesson).
